REQUIREMENTS: Minimum height of 1.2 metres, no age minimum age limit, no minimum numbers. We have a combined weight capacity of 400kgs.

All children under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Child rate applies to 15 years and under

Your tour starts with a 4km ride in one of our 4-wheel drive shuttle vans, passing through pristine native forest while our guides entertain you with facts about the park’s diverse native environment, cultural aspects and fun stories.

The Skywire is set 300m above our base café and has incredible views of Cable and Delaware Bays, the western ranges and north towards D’urville island. One a clear day you can even see the snow-capped peak of Mount Taranaki.

Strapped securely into the ride with 5-point harnesses, the Skywire seats up to four “flyers” at a time, with around 1000m of gravity assisted free-wheeling, reaching speeds of up to 100 kph, followed by 600m at a more leisurely pace - ideal for taking in the incredible scenery. Then you do it all again - BACKWARDS

The Skywire is weather dependent - we don't operate in heavy rain or high winds. Bookings not always essential but highly recommended in the busy summer season and school/public holidays. See the online booking portal for current trip times and availability.

Open year-round, our operating hours and departure times vary depending on season. Standard hours 10 am - 4 pm with extended hours in the summer (Dec - Jan)
